Ravi Gupta has served on Instacart’s Board of Directors since September 2023 and as our lead independent director since August 2025. Since December 2025, Gupta has served as Co-Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Ithaca Holdco, Inc., a private technology company that he co-founded. He is also a Partner at Sequoia Capital, where he focuses on consumer, mobile/internet, and fintech investments. He is a director of Acelerate, Meter, and Noom, and works closely with companies including Faire, Fireblocks, and Remote, among others.

Prior to joining Sequoia, Ravi served as the COO and CFO of Instacart from 2015 to 2019. Before joining Instacart, Ravi spent a decade at KKR after starting his career at McKinsey. Ravi holds a BS in Economics from Duke University.
