Today, we announced that Instacart has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by DoorDash, marking an exciting new chapter for our company.

Importantly, nothing changes today about how you shop with Instacart. Instacart and DoorDash will continue operating as separate, independent companies until the transaction closes by the end of 2027 or in the first half of 2028, and there are no immediate changes to how you accept or deliver orders. We'll keep you updated as relevant information becomes available.

Our goal has always been to make it easy for shoppers like you to flexibly earn with Instacart. By bringing together Instacart and DoorDash, we see an opportunity to create even more opportunities for you, such as more orders, closer to where you are, so that you can decide which orders best meet your needs.

We're excited about what the combined company could make possible, and we'll keep you updated as we have more to share. You can read more about today’s announcement in the joint press release here.

Thank you for all that you do for Instacart and its customers.
